Summer term starts on the 22nd April and it will be the busiest time of the year for the library. Students will be working on essays or dissertations and preparing for exams. It can be a very stressful period.
We’ll try to create the best working environment we can for all students. We ask you all to think about how you use the reading rooms, stairwells and IT areas, and to make sure you don’t disrupt students that are working hard. Library staff will be patrolling the building throughout the day. This isn’t to catch people out, but just to ensure students who need to work in peace can do so.
There are zoning maps on each floor – please use these to see what kinds of study space are available and what we expect of students in these areas. With your co-operation, we can all have a pleasant atmosphere to work in.
We’ll add more study advice for the Summer term shortly – see our Twitter account and displays in the library itself.
